These fun handmade necklaces feature a sari silk or fabric tassel adorned with a ceramic owl & pinecone or acorn charm. The 30" chain is long enough to slip over the head & comes in your choice of ball or loop style, as shown in the photos above.

I love working with sari silk ribbon because women in India take what would otherwise be trash, & make something beautiful & useful out of it! After the seamstress makes the saris, women take the scraps & sew the strips together end to end, making a long ribbon of sari silk. They can then sell the sari silk ribbon to help support their families & I love using their colorful sari silk in my jewelry designs. It's one of my favorite mediums to create with!
